This bucket hat is the crown jewel of the summer hat collection. In my 20 plus years of millinery, I have not come across such a beautiful grade of crocheted panama straw. The weave is so fine, it almost feels more like linen. If you are someone who (like me) adores objects made at the highest level, this bucket hat has your name on it.
The fine weave is going to give you a hat that will bounce back into shape no matter what you throw at it. She has a soft, floppy brim that protects the face but isn't so big to block your vision. I embroidered tiny strawberries all over the crown as they seemed to be following me everywhere this season. There are removable red straps that can cross behind the head to keep the hat secure on a windy day but can unsnap if you are hopping in the pool and don't want them dangling.
