My Top Five Tips for Traveling with a Hat
Are you traveling with your hat this summer? I certainly hope so! Here are five tips to get the most out of your HoM while on the road:
1. Use a hat clip. I like a magnetic one that attaches to my travel bag. I clip my hat onto it whenever I take it off and it keeps me from losing them.
2. Pick a wide brim fedora versus a floppy beach hat. You can wear it at the pool or walking around so it is more versatile than just a pool hat.
3. Don't be afraid to iron your brim flat again post trip. It will straighten out the kinks from the plane.
4. Go with some flair or color to your hat, it is the first thing people will see in your photos.
5. If your hat gets wet, make sure it dries in the proper shape so it doesn't take on a new form.
Remember, buying your hat from a milliner means you have someone to fix up your hat if it gets bent while traveling. It is an investment in a sustainable product versus something you will throw away.
