So it’s going to rain at the Kentucky Derby? Don’t let the weather cramp your style! There are so many great options for making the most of your weekend while staying dry and warm. I recommend you carry your hat in a plastic bag and once inside and under cover don your beautiful headpiece with pride! Dry cleaner bags work well and you can wrap it around your hat if you want to take a walk around outside to take a look at the beautiful horses. The hats are very resilient and you won’t damage them by putting them in a plastic bag!
If your hat does get caught in the rain, be sure to let your hat dry out slowly to retain its shape and size.
Clear, plastic trench coats and galoshes are IN so do a little shopping and you’ll be able to show off that Derby Day dress no matter what! you’re not allowed to bring in an umbrella to protect your hat and clothes so pick up an adorable poncho or trench. A great trench can add stylish flair!
