All the squeals on this hat, it is really a great walking around summer hat that is a fedora alternative. Made out of vintage novelty straw, these hats are unique and fun and will add flair to any outfit, along with some great shade. Being vintage, the straws are on the delicate side i.e. this is not your pool hat. She doesn't want to be stuffed in a beach bag, she wants to ride a bike or go out for cocktails or...a picnic. The scarf can slide in and out of the crown and can be swapped out for one at home. The head size is not as crucial in this hat as the scarf ties it on. I like to wrap the scarf behind my hair in the back and let the straps hang over one shoulder or tie a big bow under my ear.
This version is blocked in a clean ivory braid and the scarf is one of my all time favorite madrigal plaid cottons.
